If the property has an existing plastic 3-compartment or concrete 2-compartment septic tank, you can continue to use it and install the IISI KIVI treatment plant and IISI Additional Well as an extension without the need to build a completely new field.

The IISI KIVI additional well renovation treatment plant effectively treats all household wastewater: wastewater from the kitchen, laundry rooms and toilets. The system operates continuously, which means that the water flows through the treatment plant by gravity without electrically controlled controls or complex automation.

Biological purification takes place in a KIVI biofilter, where water is periodically circulated by a circulation pump. Phosphorus removal is effectively achieved by chemical precipitation, and solids settle in the property’s existing septic tank. The system meets regulatory requirements and is designed as a long-term solution for Finnish conditions.
