The filter fiber is a domestic ecological natural fiber. After use, the fibers can be used for soil improvement or composted. The cleaning power of the Pisara graywater filter is based on the filter fiber, which maintains the filter’s biological cleaning process. The Pisara filter fiber material contains one maintenance fiber material, i.e. approximately 85l of filter fiber to be spread over the divider plates.

A drop of filter fiber for a greywater filter
Pisara filter fiber for greywater filters is designed specifically for the biological cleaning process of the Pisara greywater filter. The fiber works on top of the filter discs and forms a microbial layer that cleans greywater from cottages and holiday homes – including shower, dishwasher and washing machine water.
Ecological and safe material
The filter fiber is made from domestic, screened curd peat, which is naturally biodegradable and completely free of additives. The fiber meets the maximum limits for heavy metals set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, so it is safe to use and dispose of. After use, the fibers can be utilized as a soil conditioner or composted.
Easy to maintain and replace
Pisara filter fiber is easy to replace in accordance with the normal maintenance cycle, approximately every 100 days. Replacing the fiber is a quick procedure that keeps the cleaning performance of the greywater filter optimal all year round.
