Intermittent anv\u00e4ndning p\u00e5verkar inte biorenarens funktion. Detta avloppsvatten omfattar allt avloppsvatten som genereras i bostadsomr\u00e5det och inneh\u00e5ller inte industriavloppsvatten eller liknande. Enstaka sm\u00e4ltvatten \u00e4r m\u00f6jligt.    <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">F\u00f6r testningen renades detta avloppsvatten f\u00f6r att s\u00e5 n\u00e4ra som m\u00f6jligt matcha gr\u00e5tt avloppsvatten. Det inkommande avloppsvattnet pumpades in i en lagringstank (15 m3) med en blandare, fr\u00e5n vilken vattnet som anv\u00e4ndes i testningen togs efter delvis rening.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Det inkommande avloppsvattnet sp\u00e4ddes med rent ledningsvatten (f\u00f6rh\u00e5llande 30 % \/ 70 %). F\u00f6r att \u00f6ka BOD7-v\u00e4rdet tillsattes metanol till vattnet. Tillsatsen var 15\u201350 ml\/100 l matarvatten under b\u00e5da testperioderna.    <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Metanolen f\u00f6rblandades med en mindre m\u00e4ngd vatten och sp\u00e4ddes sedan ut med matarvatten med hj\u00e4lp av en propellerblandare och en vattenstr\u00e5le. F\u00f6r att h\u00e5lla matarvattnets kvalitet s\u00e5 konstant som m\u00f6jligt och f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rhindra att anrikning ansamlades i matartanken bereddes endast en daglig dos \u00e5t g\u00e5ngen, vilken utfodrades under samma dag. F\u00f6r helger bereddes en tredagarsdos (1 900 \/ 1 350 l), vilken utfodrades i sin helhet under helgen (fre-m\u00e5n).    <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vatten tillf\u00f6rdes reningsverkets utrustning med en dr\u00e4nkbar pump styrd av en m\u00e4tklocka. Vatten tillf\u00f6rdes vid f\u00f6ljande tidpunkter: 15:00, 16:00, 18:00, 20:00, 14:00, 14:30, 16:00, 16:30, 18:00 och 20:00. Fl\u00f6deshastigheten justerades med en reglerventil p\u00e5 pumpens trycksida. M\u00e4ngden matning vid varje matning var antingen cirka 75 l under 4 minuter eller 45 l under 2 minuter, beroende p\u00e5 det dagliga fl\u00f6det vid den tidpunkten.
