Keijo Nieminen and his partners have completed a magnificent new construction project in Nurmijärvi. The property is located on a one-hectare forested plot, which is part of a groundwater area. The new house has a total of approximately 140 m² of living space and a separate garage. The property is designed for two adults and two children, and has been implemented as a turnkey package. The property’s wastewater issues have been implemented in cooperation with Vestell.
The plot is ideally located for a couple. Nieminen describes it this way: “Private rural space and peace, but all the necessary services are a quarter of a mile away and close to the Helsinki metropolitan area.”
Construction work began in January 2023 with the removal of topsoil, and at the same time, a suitable wastewater system was planned. The soil type of the plot is variable, moraine, clay and rock. Approximately 500 m³ of excavation was carried out to obtain a suitable elevation for the house. The closed tanks of the wastewater system, the Biopurifier and the collection circuit of the geothermal system were dug into the clay soil.
The wastewater system and Bio-purifier were installed around Midsummer, to which the double-frame wastewater network from the house was connected. Domestic water comes from a well drilled on the property. The construction project itself progressed quickly and without major problems, and in the autumn the house began to be ready for move-in.
The property’s wastewater system and its design were prepared by Vestell experts. They were responsible for the design and delivered the Biopuhsitaja 3 greywater purifier and two 5.5 m³ closed tanks to the site. The Nieminens chose Vestell due to its good reviews and clearly available product information. Nieminen emphasizes Vestell’s expert and consistent service: “Everything went perfectly and we were well informed about the products. Vestell’s experts were able to accurately map the site’s needs and offer us a perfect solution”. Nieminen states: “In our house project, we aimed for solutions that were as ready-made and easy for us as possible, so the package offered by Vestell, which included design in addition to the products, suited us very well”.
Despite several years of delays, the Nieminen family will complete their house project in October and are excited to move into their new home. Vestelli is proud to be a part of this successful project.
