Nella and Toni, who live in Kirkkonummi, wanted a home of their own outside the city for their family of three, as well as their cat and dachshund. A few years ago, the couple’s wish came true when they found a beautiful plot of land in a sparsely populated area in Inkoo, surrounded by birch forests. “We made an offer for the plot that we didn’t think would be accepted, but it turned out differently and we bought the plot ,” Toni says happily. Soon, Toni, who lived in Siuntio for the first six months of his life, will be able to move back to his birthplace.

After purchasing the plot, Nella and Toni started looking for a suitable house package. They knew from the beginning that they wanted a traditional single-storey detached house. In addition, the house should be rectangular in shape and have a gable roof. The couple eventually settled on the 116 m² stylish Hirsijukka from the Jukkatalo collection. The house was ordered as a do-it-yourself interior package, so Nella and Toni have also built a lot themselves and are currently doing surface work on the property. The plan is for them to be able to move into their new home by Midsummer.

Nella and Toni did not have any specific criteria when it came to building services, but when making their choices they tried to buy as much as possible from domestic manufacturers. For Nella and Toni’s property, a Vestelli Biopurifier 3 product was designed for grey water and two 5.5 m³ closed tanks for black water. Toni has worked as a ground contractor, so he naturally installed the products himself. “I installed the wastewater systems and I was lucky to find a suitable place in the yard and not have to excavate. We got the pipes there well and the tanks to the right depth ,” he says with satisfaction. “In addition to the foundation work, the wastewater system was also installed in stages by two men: the pipes from the house to the closed tank and the Biopurifier ,” Toni continues.

Toni advises those considering other wastewater issues to invest in the size of the closed tanks: “If there is space on the plot, it is worth investing in the capacity of the closed tanks so that they do not have to be emptied so often.”
